Projects

Projects are used to group work orders and service requests together under a defined event and track the total cost of those activities. In addition, child projects can exist within a parent project, and budgets can be set to monitor actual costs versus budgeted costs. The Cityworks administrator regulates access to all functions within projects. Inactive projects show in red and canceled projects show at 50% opacity.

NOTE: If OpX is enabled, projects in Office shows the message This page is read only because OpX Permissions have been activated. Editing, creating, and other functions for projects are unavailable. You can manage projects in OpX. See the OpX 3.0 Guide for more information. See Configure General Preferences in the Designer for 15.8 Guide for more information about enabling OpX.
