Layer Search Fields

The following fields are found on the Layer Search map tool.

• I want to: Select an action and a layer from the drop-down lists.
• Field: Select a field to be searched. The All Fields option searches using all of the fields instead of one selected field and is available using a Simple search. Any attribute that is set as Visible for the asset type in Designer > Asset Groups appears here. See Add an Asset Type in the Designer Office Companion 23 Guide for more information.
• Only layers with Uid field defined: Select if you only want to search layers with the UID field defined. This is only visible when doing a Simple search.
• Simple: Select if you want to perform a simple search.
• Advanced: Select if you want to perform an advanced search.
• Find: Enter your search parameter. This is only visible when doing a Simple search.
• In list (split by): Select to search for multiple values in a comma separated list.
• Like the search string: Select to perform a like search using the search parameter. This is only visible when doing a Simple search. The like search ignores numeric and date fields.
• Values: Click to show values for the field.
• Attribute Options: Click to add the option to the field selected.
• Add: Click to add a value to the query.
• Query: Enter search query information.
• extent of selected features: Select to search the extent of the selected features.
• current map extent: Select to search the current map extent.
• Draw: Click to draw a polygon on the map.
• Clear: Click to clear the polygon.
• Clear: Click to clear the search.
• Check: Click to check a query's validity.
• Search: Click to run the layer search
