Dye Test
A dye test is used to find connections in a storm water or wastewater system. The procedure involves personnel placing a dye tablet in the drain spouts, driveway drains, toilets, or other drains with plenty of water. Another employee stationed at the nearest downstream manhole watches to see if any dyed water passes. It is also a quick and cost-effective way to screen for potential problems, like leaks, in a closed system.
