Case Types
A case type defines a category of cases with similar attributes. Setting up a case type creates a frame work on which a template can be built. The Case Types panel displays a list of all existing case types and provide options to create new types or view, edit, clone, expire, or delete existing case types.
NOTE: Any case type that has Active turned off has been deactivated and is no longer in use. Deactivated case types are kept in the system instead of being deleted to preserve data integrity.
TIP: Users can narrow the list of case types by clicking Filter Records and entering the first few letters of the case type. The Filter by icon allows users to limit the displayed list to case types that are either active or inactive.
