Employee Fields

The following fields display on the General tab of an employee:

  • Name: Displays the employee's name. To update an employee's name, click Update Name.
  • Unique Name: Displays the Unique Name assigned when the employee was created. To update the Unique Name, click Update Name.
  • Sid: A unique number assigned to the employee.
  • Organization: Select the organization that the employee is assigned to. These are defined under Preferences > Custom Codes > AORGCODE.
  • Title: Enter the employee's title.
  • Employee Id: Enter the ID for the employee.
  • Email: Enter the employee's email address. This is required for employees who are set up to automatically receive emails about work activities submitted to them or for employees to reset their password themselves.
  • Work Phone: Enter the employee's work phone number.
  • Pager: Enter the employee's pager number.
  • Is Active: Select to make the employee active in the system. Inactive employees are not listed in any selection lists in Cityworks. Setting an employee as inactive, rather than deleting them, preserves the historical data associated with the employee. If any employee is inactivated, they appear grayed out in the list of employees.
  • Active Directory Domain: Enter the domain to use for Active Directory authentication to manage network administration and security through a central location.   • Domain: Select the employee's default domain.
  • Map Services Definition: The map service definition that the employee is associated with on the GIS Services page. This field cannot be edited.
