Template Security Fields

The following permissions display on the Employee Groups panel:

  • View: Permission to view this type of service request, the associated customer calls, or the service request labor costs.
  • Add: Permission to create a service request, add a customer call, or enter service request labor.
  • Update: Permission to update a service request after it has been created and populate general service request information, customer call information, or labor costs.
  • Delete: Permission to remove a service request once it has been created, remove calls from the service request, or remove labor costs.

IMPORTANT: It is highly recommended that users cancel service requests rather than remove them. This allows users to still view the information and reactivate the request if necessary. Removing a request removes that ID from the database so it cannot be accounted for. It is recommended that you limit the number of users with Delete permission for Service Request. However, you want to give any users who enter labor the Delete permission for Labor so that they can remove incorrect information.

  • View Cost: Permission to view costs. Select the View Cost check box to give each group permission to view all costs in the service request template. Click Advanced View to give individual View Cost rights for Customer Call, Labor, and Equipment costs. These costs appear in the service request in the Service Request panel and in Labor on the drop-down list on the service request toolbar.

NOTE: View Cost is generally reserved for management-level personnel.
