Template Security Fields

The following permissions display on the Employee Groups panel:

  • View: Permission to open a work order to view the information only.
  • Add: Permission to create and add information to a work order, such as comments, labor, material, equipment, tasks, etc.
  • Update: Permission to edit work order information and change the Submit To employee on a work order after it has been saved. This also gives groups the right to edit GIS attributes on a work order.
  • Delete: Permission to remove work order information.

IMPORTANT: It is highly recommended that users cancel work orders rather than remove them. This allows users to still view the information on the work order. Removing a work order removes that ID from the database so it cannot be accounted for. It is recommended that you limit the number of users with Delete permission for Work Order. However, you want to give any users who enter labor the Delete permission for Labor so that they can remove incorrect information.

  • View Cost: Permission to view costs. Select the View Cost check box to give each group permission to view all costs in the work order template. Click Advanced View to give individual View Cost rights for Work Order, Equipment, Labor, Material, and Line Item costs. These costs appear in the work order in the Labor, Material, ELM, Line Items, Permit Cost, and Cost Summary on the drop-down list on the work order toolbar.

NOTE: This is generally reserved for management-level personnel and only applies to Contract, Line Item, and Permit costs.
