Configure Multiple Domains
Although security and access to information may be controlled in Groups, Employees, and other functions throughout Designer, some organizations choose to strictly limit access in Cityworks by using multiple domains. This allows you to maintain employees and templates specifically for a domain—meaning those in other domains cannot see or use them.
Once you've added multiple Domains, you must configure settings for each domain separately. For a list of domain settings that must be configured for each domain, and a list of settings you only have to configure once for all domains, see Working in Multiple Domains.
- Switch to the desired domain to start configuring its settings. See Change Domains in Cityworks for more information.
- Configure the settings for the selected domain in Designer.
NOTE: Designer automatically saves the changes you make. A notification will appear in the top-right corner of the window that says Data Saved when you make changes to the page.
