Test Email Settings

You can send a test email to ensure that your email configuration works.

  1. From either the home page or General tab, click Preferences.
  2. On the General tab, find the Email section.

NOTE: Whether or not you're using authentication, you must have something entered into the User and Password fields in Cityworks 15.6 and 15.6.1. This is not a requirement in Cityworks 15.6.2 and newer. See Configure Email Settings for more information.

  1. Next to Test Email, click Send.
  2. Enter the address that you want to send the email to in the Send To field.

  1. Click Send.

If there is a problem with your settings, an error message will appear.
