Attachments

Attachments can be added to service requests, work orders, inspections, PLL cases, etc. Before users can add attachments, the attachment settings must be configured. The Attachments page is used to configure any settings for attachment mappings. By default, a user can only download attachments that have the same path as what is specified in the Attachment Root Directory preference. Attachment Mappings, however, allows you to map a path so that attachments can be downloaded from another directory.

Attachment mappings can also be used to specify which drives or folder locations Cityworks tries to access.

NOTE: If attachments are stored anywhere other than the default image directory under C:/inetpub/wwwroot/<site_name>/..., you have to set up an attachment mapping.
