Cityworks 23.11 Update Guide Introduction

The update guide can be used to update an existing Cityworks site to a new version. It includes any prerequisites that need to be met before the site is upgraded, any data migrations that need to be run, step-by-step instructions on how to use the installer, and a link to the release notes for the version you upgrade to. Migrating a Cityworks 15.x instance to Cityworks 23 should be done as a planned process, not simply thought of as an upgrade. NOTE: Starting with Cityworks 23.15 and Office Companion 23.15, multifactor authentication (MFA) is supported. Please note that MFA is required for any hosted sites (i.e., Cityworks Online), but is optional for on-premises sites. When logging in and using MFA, users will receive a one-time passcode via email and will be prompted to enter that code to complete the log in process.

Cityworks administrators need to update MFA preferences in Admin, not Designer. See Configure Global Preferences for more information.
