Edit an Existing Installation

  1. Navigate to where the Cityworks installer is located.
  2. Right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator to launch the installer.

The installer automatically checks to make sure all the prerequisites are installed. If an application is missing, the installer displays a message instructing you to install the needed prerequisites.

If all prerequisites are properly installed, two green check marks appear.

  1. Click Next.

  1. Click Launch Host Installer.

The host installer opens in a web browser.

  1. Select Configure An Existing Installation.
  2. Click Next.

  1. Select whether the site is hosted on Microsoft IIS or not.

  1. Click Browse, navigate to the web.config file, select it, and click Select.

  1. Click Configure.
  1. Click Okay.

From here, you can edit settings for the host or the core app.

After a setting is updated, you may need to click Restart Application for the changes to be reflected in the installation.

TIP: If the license needs to be updated, click Go to core app configuration and click the edit icon next to Cityworks License to update it.
