Run Database Manager
Starting at 23.2 and newer, Database Manager is being replaced by Database Schema Manager. If you are upgrading from 23.x to 23.2 or newer, the latest Database Manager must be run one last time before a 23.2 or newer site is implemented to ensure your database is up-to-date, otherwise Database Schema Manager shows an error.
- Download the latest Database Manager from the 23.2, 23.3, 23.4, 23.5, 23.6, 23.7, or 23.8 download pages.
- Double-click Cityworks.DatabaseManager.exe to run Database Manager.
- Select either SQL Server or Oracle.
- Enter the Azteca user's password in the first text box.
- Select the server instance and Cityworks database from the drop-down lists.
- Click Login.
- Click Update to V2023XXXX. You must do this step, regardless of which version of Cityworks you are upgrading from and to.
Once the six steps have been successfully completed, users receive a message indicating that the database was successfully updated. If not, the log shows where any issues were encountered.
