GIS Field Mapping

GIS field mappings can be configured for each asset type. The EntityUids for each asset type can also be validated.

PREREQUISITES:

  • You need a domain-assigned service definition with a valid geometry service. See Add a Geometry Service in the Admin 3.8 Guide for more information.

  • The first time you install Operational Insights, you need to add any apps or pages you need or want to access. For example, use the Route menu option to add a menu item that navigates to the Asset Strategy, Asset Curve, and other pages. See Add Menu Items and Edit Item Fields for more information.

  • Asset attributes need to be marked as Visible for Operational Insights to run configurations against them. See Add an Asset Type in the Admin 3.8 Guide for more information.

NOTE: If the default domain GIS service definition does not include a geometry service, the latitude and longitude will be set to null. See Add or Edit Service Definitions in the Admin 3.8 Guide.

TIP: Make sure GIS attributes that require ranges are configured with integer type fields instead of double type fields.
