Task Types

There are three types of tasks: Review, Inspection, and Hearing. All tasks fall under one of these three types. Users cannot remove any of these types and cannot add any additional types.

• The Review task type is for tasks that need to be reviewed. For example, plans for a building need to be reviewed before construction on the building can being.
• The Inspection task type is for tasks that need to be inspected. For example, if a contractor has finished running electric wire, then it may need to be inspected before the contractor can move to the next task.
• The Hearing task type is for tasks that need input and approval from the city council and therefore must be presented at a city council hearing.

From the Task Type panel, you can view or edit task types.
