Status Codes Fields

This section covers all the fields contained in the Add: Case Status and Edit: Case Status panels.

NOTE: The Edit: Case Status panel contains all the items displayed on the Add: Case Status panel as well as a few additional items. Therefore, only the Edit: Case Status panel is displayed and explained here.

  • Case Status ID: This is a standard ID number generated automatically when the status code is saved. This field cannot be changed.
  • Status: This is where administrators enter the name of the new status code. This field cannot be changed.
  • Description: This field allows administrators to provide a brief explanation of what the code means and, possibly, when or why the code may be assigned to a case.
  • Status Code: This field allows administrators to associate the status code with one of the standard case statuses recognized by PLL. This field may or may not need to match the value entered in the Status field.
  • Expired: This check field allows administrators to mark the status code as expired, meaning it is no longer in use. This will not affect existing cases with this status code.
