Flag Severities
Flag severities are descriptors added to a flag so it may limit the activity of a case until the flag is resolved. Different severities impose different limitations on the case.
IMPORTANT: Flag severities are hard coded into the system and cannot be altered. Users cannot add, edit, or delete flag severities.
The following are the flag severities available:
-
Case: This severity limits activity on the case to editing the Main panel, selecting task results using the drop-down on the Workflow panel, and adding or editing fees and payments. These limitations persist until the flag is resolved.
-
Case Stop: This setting prevents any further case activity until the flag is resolved. This flag may be added by any inspector.
NOTE: The Case Stop severity only works with Land Objects.
-
Condition: This severity prevents a case’s status from changing to a specific status code. The status code is identified in the condition.
-
Discipline: This indicates that the contractor or trade professional assigned to the task does not have a current license or has not filed the necessary paperwork. Work on the task or in the discipline cannot continue until the flag is resolved; however, work may continue in other areas of the project not impacted by the licensing issue.
-
Flag: This is a purely informative flag and does not limit activity on a case.
-
Inspection: This indicates that work has continued when it should have waited for an inspection.
-
Landlock: This severity only comes in the review stage. It indicates that a piece of land does not have the necessary access (public, fire, police, sewage, etc.) The case may not proceed until sufficient access is approved and put in place.
-
Viewstop: This flag severity hides the case from all users except those listed in the view list.
