Navigate the Case Summary Page

The case summary page displays all the information for existing cases. This page also contains the tools necessary to complete a case. The case summary page displays a variety of panels that may be expanded or collapsed for convenient viewing. See Collapse or Expand Panels for more information.

NOTE: As of Respond 5.1, app-specific actions have been moved to the main toolbar, such as work activity search, notifications, help, and others. An activity toolbar, listed below the main toolbar, contains pages associated with the specific work activity as well as expand and collapse all panels, start watching activity, and save. The menu, listed along the left-side of the page, contains more functionality, such as the dashboard, asset details, recent, create, and so on.

NOTE: The panel names appearing on the case summary page are the default labels but may be changed using Cityworks Style. See the Style 2.0 Guide for more information.

The order of the panels and tabs that appear on this page may differ depending on how the PLL administrator arranged them or which case type is chosen. See Configure Controls on a Case Template in the Admin 3.2 Guide for more information.

Case security is controlled by the PLL administrator and affects the panels and actions on the case summary page in the following way:

  • The add and delete icons appear if the user has permission to add or delete information about the case.
  • The edit icon appears to the right of each item in the panel if the user has permission to edit information about the case.
  • If the user doesn't have view or edit permissions, there will not be an edit or view icon.

See Security Roles in the Admin 3.2 Guide for more information.
