Notifications

Notifications inform users of new or updated information for a PLL case, such as attachments that have been added. They can notify the user assigned to the case as well as interested parties who are watching the case.

Notifications are created for a user:

  • If the user is the Assigned To user.
  • If the user is mentioned in a comment on the case or a task in the workflow of a case.
  • If the following events happen while the user is watching the case. See Watch a Case for more information on how to watch a case.
  • An attachment is added by someone other than the Assigned To user.
  • A payment is made (e.g., on a fee) by someone other than the Assigned To user.

The Assigned To user receives notifications for all of the previously mentioned items.

NOTE: The first time you install Respond, you need to add any apps or pages you need or want to access. For example, use the Route menu option to add a menu item that navigates to the Asset Details, License Management tool, and other pages. See Add Menu Items and Edit Item Fields for more information. Notifications is added to the menu by default.
