Email a Service Request

Service Requests can be emailed to those working on them.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Email templates and events must be configured for service requests. See Email in the Admin 3.4 Guide for more information.
  • The docx folder must be manually created or moved to the ...\<site_name>\cw-site-data\_tenant-data\_default-volume\tenant-1 folder when upgrading to 23.x. Once the folder is created, move the print templates to the new folder. Once in place, emailing and printing using Word print templates is possible.
  1. Open a work order.
  1. Tap Email in the upper-right corner.

  1. Select Employees from the drop-down list to email the service request to.
  1. Add any additional emails in the Additional Email Addresses field.
  1. Tap Send to send the email.

NOTE: The print and email templates for Microsoft Word are located in the Cityworks application directory at ...\<site_name>\cw-site-data\_tenant-data\_default-volume\tenant-1\docx. The print and email templates for ActiveReports are located in the Cityworks application directory at ...\<site_name>\cw-site-data\_tenant-data\_default-volume\tenant-1\reports.
