Configure Material Cost Conversion

Material Cost Conversion is used to convert multiple materials to LIFO (Last In First Out) or FIFO (First In First Out) cost types. Please note that this page will not appear if you are not licensed for Storeroom or if you are not a Cityworks administrator.

1. From the Storeroom tab in Designer, click Material Cost Conversion.

Only available materials that have either Current or Weighted Average cost types will appear in the Materials panel, which can then be converted to LIFO or FIFO.

2. Select the material(s) you want to convert.

TIP: To select multiple materials use <Shift + click> or <Ctrl + click>.

3. Click Convert to FIFO if you want the materials selected to be stored as First In First Out.
4. Click Convert to LIFO if you want the materials selected to be stored as Last In First Out.

Once the conversion has taken place, the selected materials will be automatically removed from the list of materials.

NOTE: Designer automatically saves the changes you make. A notification that says Data Saved appears in the top-right corner when you make changes to the page.
