Suppliers Fields

The following fields appear on the Suppliers panel:

Supplier Uid: This field is populated when the supplier is added, and it can't be edited.
Name: This field is populated when the supplier is added, but it can be edited.
Contact Information: Enter the supplier's contact information such as Address, Phone, and Email. Enter the primary contact in the Contact field, and enter a secondary contact in the Contact 2 fields, if desired.
Notes: Enter any notes pertaining to the supplier.
Is Active: Select if the supplier is currently active or being used. If the supplier is not active, click to clear the check box. To maintain historical data, it is recommended that you set a supplier as inactive instead of deleting it. However, if you need to delete a supplier, select it in the Suppliers panel and click Delete.

NOTE: A supplier can be deleted if materials are still listed in the Supplier Material panel.

The following fields appear on the Supplier Material panel:

Material Name: This field is populated with the material name entered when it was created.
Catalog Number: Enter the catalog number, if known.
Part Number: Enter the part number, if known.
Contract Number: Enter the contract number, if applicable to the material.
Info Date: Double-click in the field to enter the current date or use the calendar icon to enter the date of when the information was entered.

NOTE: The Info Date field is useful in assessing how recent the information is.

Unit of Measure: Select how the material will be measured. This is populated in Designer under Preferences > Custom Codes > UNITMEAS.

Package Quantity/Package Cost/Order Quantity: Enter the quantity or cost to facilitate ordering.
Lead Time: Enter the time.
Lead Time Unit: Select Hours, Days, Weeks, or Months to measure the Lead Time.

NOTE: The Lead Time and Lead Time Unit fields let users know how long materials will take to get to their location once the order has been placed.

Notes: Enter any helpful information about the material, especially ordering or contract information. For example, quantity price break levels or brand differences/preferences.
