Remove a Storeroom

A storeroom can be removed from Storeroom.

IMPORTANT: Storerooms can be removed. However, Cityworks strongly recommends that you do not remove a storeroom if there are any records associated with it. Instead, make the storeroom inactive to preserve the historical data associated with the storeroom.

PREREQUISITES: If the Stock for the material is greater than 0, then the storeroom cannot be removed. Stocked materials must be removed from the storeroom before the storeroom can be removed. See Remove Material from a Storeroom for more information. You must have the Admin permission applied to a group you're in to delete a storeroom. See Add or Edit a Group for more information.

1. Tap Configure from the menu.
2. Tap Material.
3. Tap the Storerooms tab.
4. Tap the arrow to the right of the desired storeroom to expand its details.
5. Clear the Is Storeroom Active check box in the Details section to make the storeroom unavailable to users.

NOTE: Active storerooms are black and inactive storerooms are grayed out.

If no historical data is associated with the storeroom, remove it from the Storeroom panel.

6. Select the desired storeroom and tap Delete selected storerooms.

7. Tap Delete on the Delete Storeroom panel.

NOTE: Storeroom automatically saves the changes you make. A notification will appear at the bottom of the window that says Changes Saved when you make changes to the page.
