Search Within a Numeric Range
Some search fields allow you to search for numeric ranges. This feature is identified by a numeric search icon next to the search field. You can use the search box or type the search syntax directly into the field.
NOTE: There are subtle differences in the user interface between the transaction, requisition, and material search pages, but the functionality is the same.
- Tap the numeric search icon.
- Enter the information for the search.
- Between: Select to search for a single number or for any numbers contained between a set. For example, return any amounts between 100 and 500.
- Not Between: Select to search for any numbers not contained between the set. For example, return any amounts not between 100 and 500.
- Equal: Select to search for a single number or for any numbers contained in a set. For example, return any amounts equal to 100, 200, 300, 400, or 500.
- Not Equal: Select to search for a single number or for numbers in a set that is not equal. For example, return any amounts not equal to 100, 200, 300, 400, or 500.
- Greater Than: Select to search for any numbers greater than the specified number. For example, return any amounts greater than 500.
- Greater Than or Equal: Select to search for any numbers greater than or equal to the specified number. For example, return any amounts greater than or equal to 500.
- Less Than: Select to search for any numbers less than the specified number. For example, return any amounts less than 500.
- Less Than or Equal: Select to search for any numbers less than or equal to the specified number. For example, return any amounts less than or equal to 500.
- Null: Select to search for any number not within a range of values.
- Apply: Tap to apply the search parameters.
- Cancel: Tap to cancel the numeric search.
- Include Null: Select to include the null options in your search results.
- Exclusive: Select to search for only the numbers entered in the fields.
- Tap Apply to apply the information.
NOTE: If you enter a bad formula, it displays in red. If you still have a bad formula and tap Run Query, it tells you which fields have bad formulas.
