Edit Map Features in ArcGIS Field Maps

Map features can be edited from the map or from the asset attributes using ArcGIS Field Maps.

PREREQUISITES:

  • User must be signed in to both the mobile app and ArcGIS Field Maps using Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online using Single Sign-on.
  • The web map used for ArcGIS Field Maps must be added and configured for use with the mobile service definition(s). See Add a Web Map in the Admin 3.3 Guide for more information.
  1. Select a feature on the map or scan a barcode.
  2. Tap Asset(s) Selected at the top of the map to view the selected assets.

  1. Tap the asset on the Selected Assets panel.

  1. Tap Edit in Field Maps.

The ArcGIS Field Maps app opens in a browser tab.

  1. Scroll and make the edits for the existing feature, then tap the check mark.

A Submitted message shows when the changes are saved.

  1. Navigate back to the mobile app when you are done making edits in ArcGIS Field Maps.
  1. Open a work order.
  2. Tap Assets.

  1. Tap View Attributes.

  1. Tap Edit in Field Maps.

The ArcGIS Field Maps app opens in a browser tab.

  1. Scroll and make the edits for the existing feature, then tap the check mark.

A Submitted message shows when the changes are saved.

  1. Navigate back to the mobile app when you are done making edits in ArcGIS Field Maps.
