Add a Task Notification

This section discussed how to configure a new task notification.

PREREQUISITES:

  • The Task Notification Setup security function and its associated sub-functions must be selected for the security role you belong to. See Security Roles for more information.
  • You must have a code for a task that is setup in PLL. See Task Setup (PLL) for more information.
  • You must have the appropriate notification type configured. See Notification Types for more information.
  • You must have at least on people role in the system. See People Roles for more information.
  • You must have at least on contractor type in the system. See Contractor Types (PLL) for more information.
  • You must have a result code. See Task Results (PLL) and Add a Task Result Set for more information.
  1. From the home page, click PLL and click Notification Task.
  2. On the Task Notifications panel, click Add record.

  1. Select the Task Code to select the task the notification will apply to.

  1. Click Add.

Once it's added, select the task notification to finish configuring it.

The Internal Notifications panel allows you to configure notifications for employees associated with the case or task when the task becomes available or is assigned.

  1. Select the check boxes next to the notification options you want to use. You may select one or both of these options.
  2. Select the Notification Type for the option(s) you selected.

NOTE: Admin automatically saves the changes you make. A notification pops up at the bottom to verify changes have been saved.

  1. Select the Send email notification when task become available check box.
  2. Under People, select if all people roles, selected people roles, or no people roles associated with the task will be notified.
  3. If you chose Selected, select the people role from the Notify Type (People) drop-down list.
  4. Select the recipients of the notification from the Notify People drop-down list.
  5. Under Contractors, select if all contractor types, selected contractor types, or no contractor types associated with the task will be notified.
  6. If you chose Selected, select the contractor type from the Notify Type (Contractor) drop-down list.
  7. Select the recipients of the notification from the Notify Contractors drop-down list.

NOTE: Admin automatically saves the changes you make. A notification pops up at the bottom to verify changes have been saved.

  1. Select the Send email notification when task is completed check box.
  2. Select whether all result codes, selected result codes, or no result codes will cause the notification to be sent from the Results drop-down list.
  3. Select the Task Result to choose a result code that will trigger the notification.

  1. Under People, select if all people roles, selected people roles, or no people roles associated with the task will be notified.
  2. If you chose Selected, select the people role from the Notify Type (People) drop-down list.
  3. Select the recipients of the notification from the Notify People drop-down list.
  4. Under Contractors, select if all contractor types, selected contractor types, or no contractor types associated with the task will be notified.
  5. If you chose Selected, select the contractor type from the Notify Type (Contractor) drop-down list.
  6. Select the recipients of the notification from the Notify Contractors drop-down list.
