Contractor Type Fields

This section covers all the fields contained in the Add: Contractor Type and Edit: Contractor Type panels.

NOTE: The Edit: Contractor type panel contains all the items displayed on the Add: Contractor type panel as well as a few additional items. Therefore, only the Edit: Contractor type panel is displayed and explained here.

  • Contractor Type ID: This is a numeric identifier that is automatically assigned to the correction contractor type after it is saved. This field cannot be changed.
  • Type: This is a 10-character identifier created by the administrator. This code appears in lists and drop-down boxes and allows users to distinguish one contractor type from another. In a sense, this is the type’s ‘name.’ This field cannot be changed once the type has been saved.
  • Description: This is a brief explanation of the contractor type. Descriptions are often just a more detailed version of the type identifier, but administrators may include more exact information if they desire.
  • Custom Table Name: This field identifies any custom tables associated with the contractor type. See Use the Custom Data Builder for more information.
  • Expired: This check box, visible only on the Edit: Contractor Type panel, allows administrators to mark a contractor type as expired. Selecting this check box will cause the corresponding box on the main Contractor Type panel to be selected as well.
