You can complete a task from the Workflow panel.

1. Open a case.
2. On the Workflow panel, tap the Result drop-down list to select a result for each task, such as if it is approved or should be resubmitted. The result codes available in the drop-down list vary depending on the case type.

NOTE: If configured by the PLL administrator, the task result type selected can automatically generate a work order, service request, and inspection. To create a service request from a PLL task result, the case must have an XY value. See Configure Task Results in the PLL 15.6 Admin Guide for more information on configuring automatic work activities.

IMPORTANT: A result can only be selected for individual tasks. A result cannot be selected for multiple tasks.

IMPORTANT: The drop-down list for a task only displays on a task when all of the tasks in the preceding milestone are complete.

The Completed By and Completed Date fields automatically populate with the current user’s login and the current date.

NOTE: If you want to specify the Completed By and Completed Date fields, select that information before selecting the task Result; the Completed By and Completed Date fields are saved with the task result.

Depending on the selected result, the task is completed and the next task(s) is available, or the task may be reinserted into the workflow.

The administrator can configure a task to copy comments if automatically inserting the same task. This applies to single tasks, not task groups.

You can complete a task from the Task Edit panel.

1. Open a case.
2. Tap the edit icon to the right of the task you want to complete.
3. Select the record(s) and tap Edit record on the Workflow panel.

The Task Edit panel opens.

NOTE: From the Task Edit panel, you can also add and remove attachments, comments, and time accounting associated to the task. See the Attachments, Comments, and Time Accounting sections for more information.

4. Select the Result from the drop-down list.

NOTE: If configured by the PLL administrator, the task result type selected can automatically generate a work order, service request, and inspection. To create a service request from a PLL task result, the case must have an XY value. See Configure Task Results in the PLL 15.6 Admin Guide for more information on configuring automatic work activities.

5. Tap Save.

Depending on the selected result, the task is completed and the next task is available, or the task may be reinserted into the workflow.

You can use Task Manager to complete tasks.

1. Open Task Manager and perform a search. For more information on performing a search, see Search for Tasks.

2. Tap Details to reveal more fields.

3. The Completed By field may automatically populate, but can be changed. To do this, tap the drop-down list to select an employee.

5. The Date Completed field may be populated but can be changed. Tap the calendar icon to select a date.

6. Tap the Task Result drop-down list and select a result for the task.

NOTE: If configured by the PLL administrator, the task result type selected can automatically generate a work order, service request, and inspection. To create a service request from a PLL task result, the case must have an XY value. See Configure Task Results in the PLL 15.6 Admin Guide for more information on configuring automatic work activities.

NOTE: The task cannot be completed until correction tasks (checklist items) associated with the task are complete. For more information, see Complete Corrections.
