Add Permissions

You can add a user, group, or domain and give them View or Edit permissions for an entire dashboard.

PREREQUISITES:

  • You must either own the dashboard or have permission to edit the dashboard.
  1. Tap Dashboard.
  2. Tap Page actions in the upper-right corner and tap Manage Dashboards.

NOTE: The 10 most-recently-viewed dashboards display. To quickly switch between recently-viewed dashboards, see Switch Between Dashboards for more information.

The Dashboard Management page opens.

  1. Select a dashboard from the Dashboards panel.

NOTE: Tap Rows to change the number of rows viewed at a time in the panel.

Any users assigned to the dashboard appear in the permissions panel.

  1. Tap Add Permission.

The Add Permission panel opens.

  1. Tap the drop-down list to select whether permissions for the dashboard will be given to a specific User, Group, or the entire Domain.

  1. Tap Filter records to quickly filter the list of fields in the panel.
  2. Select the View or Edit option.
  • View: This gives users permission to only view the dashboard.
  • Edit: This gives users permission to edit the dashboard.
  • None: This does not give the user any permission regarding the dashboard.

TIP: Use the Tab or arrow keys on your keyboard to select a permission for a user.

  1. Tap Save.

A confirmation message appears and the User, Group, or Domain name appears in the Permissions panel along with their assigned permission. See Edit Permissions for more information on modifying permission rights.

NOTE: The Own column shows who created the dashboard.
