Navigate Respond

Respond has a user-friendly interface, which is easy to navigate.

  1. Tap the arrow to expand or collapse the menu.

NOTE: The first time you install Respond, you need to add any apps or pages you need or want to access. For example, use the Route menu option to add a menu item that navigates to the License Management tool and other pages. See Add Menu Items and Edit Item Fields for more information.

NOTE: When the menu is collapsed, users only see icons. When the menu is expanded, users see the icons along with text.

  1. Tap items in the menu to create work orders, service requests, inspections, and PLL cases, view and update PLL tasks using Task Manager, open a dashboard, open recently viewed work activities, or view the online help.

NOTE: If users are viewing the work activities under Recent on a computer, and a description is longer than the menu is wide, hover over the activity to see the entire description.

  1. Tap Work activity search to perform a quick search. See Perform a Search for more information.

  1. Use Page actions to complete specific actions when viewing your dashboard.

NOTE: Work activity page breadcrumbs, such as related-child pages, can be hidden from the work activity menu using Style. See Make a Control or Panel Visible in the Cityworks Style 1.5 Guide for more information.

  1. Use Expand All Panels or Collapse All Panels to expand and collapse all panels on a work activity.

  1. Use Toggle map to open the map to the last extent it was opened. See Map and Resize the Map for more information.

NOTE: The map contains a visual representation of the geographic extent that your Cityworks site and organization work in.
