View Asset Details

You can view details or attributes about assets selected on the map directly from the map or from the Assets panel on the Asset Details page.

PREREQUISITES:

  • To view or edit asset details, verify that you have the correct Esri user type. See the User Types page on Esri's website. To do more advanced GIS operations, the Creator, Professional, or Professional Plus user type may be needed.

When you select assets on the map, you can quickly view details about each asset from the map.

  1. Select assets on the map. See Legend and Selection for more information on selecting assets on the map.
  2. Tap one of the selected assets.

A panel opens and displays details about the selected asset.

  1. If multiple assets are selected, tap the arrows to move to the next selected asset and view its details.
  2. Tap Details in the upper-left corner of the panel to open the Asset Details page. The Assets panel populates with the asset's information.
  3. Tap Dock to make the panel stay on the left-hand side of the map even if you move away from the asset you selected. Tap Undock to move the panel so that it stays with the selected asset even when you move away.

When you use the Assets panel, there are two tabs: Asset Grid and Related Assets. The Asset Grid tab displays the different assets. The number of total assets is listed at the bottom of the panel. The Related Assets tab displays assets that are related to the assets selected on the map or added using the Find Assets panel.

  1. Open the Asset Details page.

TIP: You can filter the list of records displayed. See Filter Records for more information.

  1. Select an asset from the Assets panel. If needed, see Add Assets or for more information.
  2. Tap View Details.

Asset attribute information and work activity details are in separate tabs.

  1. If more than one asset is selected, tap the Asset drop-down list and select an asset to view its details.
