Configure Custom Inspection Template Security

Template Security is used to set the group access rights for the inspection template. Permission is given to view, add, update, or delete.

PREREQUISITES: Groups must be created under General > Groups. See Add or Edit a Group for more information.

1. From the Inspections tab, click Template Security.

The Templates panel lists all the inspection templates. You can filter the list by typing the first few letters of the template in the search box in the top-right corner.

2. Select the inspection template.

TIP: You can use <Shift + click> or <Ctrl + click> to select multiple templates.

The Groups panel lists all of the groups and gives options for assigning permissions for each one. You can filter the list by typing the first few letters of the group in the search field in the top-right corner.

3. Select the appropriate permissions for each group for View, Add, Update, and Delete. You can also select the check box to the left of the group name to assign all the permissions to that group. Alternatively, select the check box directly below View, Add, Update, or Delete to give that type of permission to all groups.

NOTE: DesignerAdmin automatically saves the changes you make. A notification that says Data Saved appears in the top-right corner when you make changes to the page. You will see a progress bar in the top-right corner that says saving.
