Add Time Accounting

Time accounting allows you to track the time spend on certain tasks. You can add time accounting information to a task using the Edit Task panel on the Summary page or Task Manager.

  1. On the Workflow panel, select Edit record next to the desired task.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Task panel and Click Add record in the Time Accounting section.

NOTE: You can also add and remove attachments and comments associated to the task. For more information, see Use Attachments on a Task and Use Comments on a Task.

  1. Click the Lookup for Time Accounting icon to the right of the Time Code.

  • Select the time code you wish to add.
  • Click Submit.

  1. The Time Spent By field automatically populates with the user's login ID. However, this can be changed by deleting the populated current ID and clicking the Lookup for Time Spent By icon to the right.

  1. Use the calendar icon or double-click in the field to enter the task complete Date.
  2. Enter the amount of Time and any additional comments.
  1. Click Accept.

A success message displays and the record is added to the task.

  1. Once you have added your time accounting information to the task, click Save on the Edit Task panel to save the information on the task.

NOTE: You can also edit, view, and remove time accounting information associated to the task. For more information, see Edit Time Accounting, View Time Accounting, and Delete Time Accounting.

  1. Perform a search in Task Manager. For more information on performing a search, see Search Tasks Using Task Manager.
  1. Click the task you want to add time accounting information to.

  1. Click Time Accounting at the bottom of the panel.

  1. Click the Lookup icon to the right of the Time Code field.

  • Select the time code you wish to add.
  • Click Submit.

  1. Click the Lookup icon to the right of the Time Spent By field.

  • Select the login ID of the employee you wish to add.
  • Click Submit.

  1. Use the calendar icon or double-click in the field to enter the Task Complete Date.
  2. Enter the amount of Time and any additional comments.

  1. Click the save icon to add the time accounting information to the task.

A success message displays and the record is added to the task.
