Associate an Event with a Template
Email templates determine the details of the email, while email events determine when the email is sent. In order for emailing to work, Email Events must be linked to the desired Email Templates.

- Click the Email Events tab and select the Event Type that you would like an email to be sent for, such as when a request is created. You need to associate that event to an email template so that the system knows what kind of email to send when this event happens.
TIP: You can filter the list of records displayed. See Filter Records for more information.
- Select the event. If no events are shown, that means there isn't an event configured for the Event Type selected. See Add or Edit an Email Event for information on configuring events.
- In the Event Details panel, select an existing Email Template from the drop-down list.
- Click Save.
You can see which events are associated to a template by selecting that template on the Email Templates tab. An associated event can be viewed under the Associated Events section in the Template Details panel, but cannot be edited.
