Create a Requisition

Requisition allows you to keep a record of material being ordered, predetermined suppliers, unit of measure, and order quantities as well as streamline the receiving process. Requisitions will keep track of supplier purchases, quantities ordered, cost of material, backorders, and types of requisitions.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Storerooms must be added under Config > Storeroom Materials. See Add or Edit a Storeroom for more information.
  • Material must be added under Config > Material and initialized with an audit transaction. See Perform an Audit for more information.
  1. Tap Requisition from the menu.
  2. On the Material panel, select a Storeroom from the drop-down list. This changes the list of materials. Materials can only be selected from one storeroom at a time.

  1. Select materials from the list. See Search Materials for more information on using the search tabs to find materials.

NOTE: By selecting a material, the Supplier, Order Quantity, Quantity in Package, and Package Cost fields will automatically populate.

  1. Enter the information in the Requisition and Requisition Item panels to requisition the material.

TIP: If the desired supplier doesn't appear in the Supplier drop-down list, see Add a Supplier to Material for information.

For an explanation of the fields found on the Requisition and Requisition Item panels, see Requisition Transaction Fields.

  2. To update an item in the list, select it from the Pending Requisition panel, make the desired changes, and tap Update Item.
